On June 25, Realme launched its new smartphone Realme X3 SuperZoom in India.  We have reviewed this device.  Here you will know how it is in terms of buying the phone.  Its special thing is that despite being a mid-range smartphone, many high-end specifications have been given in it.  It has features like 120Hz refresh rate display, 60X hybrid zoom support camera, Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus processor and liquid cooling technology.

It is a competitor of Realme X2 Pro and OnePlus 7T in terms of its price.  The X2 Pro costs slightly more than the X3 SuperZoom, but the specifications of the X2 Pro are slightly better.  At the same time, the price of OnePlus 7T is also high and the on-paper specifications are almost like or slightly less than the X3 SuperZoom.  In such a situation, it can be considered more of a competitor of OnePlus 7T.
The price of 8GB + 128GB variants of X3 SuperZoom has been kept at Rs 27,999 and 12GB + 256GB variants have been priced at Rs 32,999.  At the same time, the price of 8GB + 128GB variants of OnePlus 7T is Rs. 34,999 and 8GB + 256GB variants are priced at Rs. 37,999.
We will talk in detail about the merits and demerits of the X3 SuperZoom.  Before this, let us tell you about the major specifications of its 7T.  It gets AMOLED display with 90Hz refresh rate and HDR10 +, Snapdragon 855 Plus processor, 48MP triple rear camera (2X optical zoom), in-display fingerprint sensor, 3,800mAh battery with 30W fast charging and OxygenOS.
(Technical Information).

Display and Design:

Talking about the design of Realme X3 SuperZoom, it looks like the rest of the realme phones.  Here the camera panel with vertical shape is present in the top left.  The company does something new in the rear panel of its phones.  In this, the company has given an Arctic inspired matte finish.  The frame is of metal and the fingerprint sensor is present in the power button itself.  It is in the right and is also very fast.  The left has volume rockers.  The bottom panel has a Type C port, speaker grill and SIM tray.  Overall build quality is good and grip is also good to hold.  However, there was some innovation in the design.

Talking about the display, it has a 6.6-inch full-HD + (1,080x2,400 pixels) ultra-smooth display with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 and 120Hz refresh rate.  The company has used LCD display in it.  For this reason, an in-display fingerprint sensor could not be given in it.  It looks quite smooth with a 120Hz refresh rate.  Also, its brightness is also good and colors also look very good.  There is also a dual-punch hole cutout for two selfie cameras in the top left.  Overall, despite having an LCD panel, you will not get any complaints.

 Software and hardware:

It has Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ processor with Adreno 640 GPU with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.  Keep in mind this is a high-end 4G processor.  We have reviewed its 12GB RAM variant.  We did not feel any lag in using it regularly, in app switching or in any task like multi tasking.  At the same time, it is also very good in terms of gaming.  You can fill some heat in heavy gaming, but not so much that you cannot hold it.  Because liquid cooling technology has been given in it.  Overall, you will not have any complaints about the hardware.

Also, let us tell you that it has support for Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res Audio.  However, due to being a single speaker, you do not get surround or stereo output.

Talking about the software, it runs on Android 10 based Realme UI.  Since the company's UI is new, it already has a lot of improvement and many useful shortcuts and features will be available.  In this, dual-audio mode has also been supported through Reality Lab.  With this you can connect both Bluetooth earphones and wired earphones simultaneously.  As always, many pre-loaded apps have also been given in this phone.  Also, they send spammy notifications.  You can disable some of these.  One feature that is missing in this is that of Osage on display.

 Battery:

This smartphone has a battery of 4,200mAh and also supports 30W fast charging.  30W charger will be available along with the box.  It takes about an hour to be fully charged and once charged, it can be run comfortably throughout the day.  That too when it has a high-end processor and a 120Hz refresh rate display.  However, the charger may be required again in very heavy use.
Camera:

Now finally let's talk about its camera.  Which is in a way the main section of this phone.  For photography, 64MP Samsung GW1 primary sensor, 8MP wide angle camera and 2MP macro camera has been given in its rear.  Apart from this, it has an 8MP sensor with a periscope-style lens setup.  It has the support of 5X optical zoom.  Also, in the rear camera setup, Stary mode has also been given for astro-photography.  At the same time, the primary camera of its dual selfie camera is 32MP and the secondary camera is 8MP wide-angle camera.

You will get a lot of options in these four rear cameras and dual front cameras, which are different from the regular options.  Modes such as Night Mode Support in Selfie Camera, Pro-Night Mode in Rear Camera, Tripod Mode, Stary Mode and Ultra Steady Mode for Video are provided.  Similarly, except macro cameras, you can use all other cameras during video and also during nightmode.  However, there is a completely different option for the 64MP camera.  That is, you will get many combinations of different cameras and modes.

Talking about the camera in an overall way, up to 60X hybrid zoom, 5X zoom photo, regular photo, bokeh effect photo, macro camera photo and ultra-wide angle camera photo are all very good. A photo with 5X optical zoom and a photo with up to 30X zoom is quite good in terms of the price of the phone.  Periscope-style lens setup is usually offered in expensive phones.  Reality has made it available in mid-range phones.  Similarly, the video and selfie camera also responds well.

The camera is a bit straggle in the night, but the output is not so bad.  Users can use Pro Night Mode and Tripod Mode in NightMode for much better quality.  For extrophotography you will also get a Stary mode.  Despite the overall low price, the quality of the camera is quite good.  One problem is that colors appear slightly boosted in Nightmode.

Conclusion

This phone is a good all-rounder mid-range smartphone at an initial price of Rs 27,999.  Things like a smooth display, excellent day light camera, good battery, good build quality and fast performance make it special.  Photography lovers will especially like this.  However, little work could be done about the night camera and design.  Users watching more videos may miss the AMOLED display and stereo speakers.
